Occasionally one of us will take the kids to Krispy Kreme for breakfast on the weekend and let the other one sleep in.  Pajamas and doughnuts (and Starbucks for Mommy)!

After months of waiting, a Whole Foods opened near our house.  The best part?  Double seated race car carts for the kids - Claire & Will love them!


When we start to leave the house, I open the van doors, and the kids (are supposed to) crawl into their seats while I set the alarm and lock the door.  Usually they hop right in, but this time, Will thought he would pick a different seat.  "Mommy, I'm driving!"




Will almost always wants a little snuggle time on the couch after he wakes up from his nap.  Love it!

Year End Wrap Up - My Birthday

We celebrated my 37th birthday with cupcakes and party hats.  Low key time with family - so nice!

Year End Wrap Up - Labor Day Weekend

We started out the weekend with lunch in Boerne, and we caught the end of the Labor Day Weekend parade as we were leaving the restaurant.  Claire waved and yelled "Hi" at every person that walked past - and there were a lot of them.  :)

On Monday we went to the Botanical Gardens to see the dinosaur exhibit - life size dinosaur sculptures throughout the gardens.  The gardens are always beautiful, and it was fun to spot all of the different dinos hiding among the plants.

I was invited to a lovely tea party.


One Saturday I had to go to a volunteer training session for our children's ministry at church, so Robert took the kids to the river for a boat ride.

Year End Wrap Up - July Randoms

Claire made sure our treats from Nothing Bundt Cakes for Nana's birthday stayed secure during our ride.

We finally got a new couch and chair to replace the ones I had bought for my first solo apartment in 2000.  Claire and Will immediately settled in - glad they approved of our choice.


For some reason Will likes to ask me to let him into the shower in our hall bathroom and pretend that he is trapped.  This time Claire joined him.  Goofy kids!
