Catching up

I've had several projects going lately that have been filling time I could otherwise use for blogging, like:

• Working with a lender to refinance our mortgage (taking advantage of these low rates!)
• Cleaning out our office (we got a new desk that doesn't have a lot of drawers - time to reorganize!)
• Reading a book for Book Club
• Keeping up with a couple of studies with church
• Working on our 2011 blog book
• Figuring out what we're going to do for Claire's 4th birthday

Monday, August 29

Will has been trying lots of new table foods lately.  Tonight he had his first black bean and cheese quesadilla (a staple in our house).  He was a fan!

Chick-fil-A ran a deal where you could sign up for a free breakfast entree.  I enjoyed my Chicken Minis this morning - yum!

Friday, September 9

Claire had her stim test at the endocrinologist's office this morning to check her growth hormone levels.  Robert and I were dreading it since it involved a few blood samples over a 2 hour period, but it ended up being so much easier and less stressful than we expected.  Claire was able to watch one of her movies and fell asleep halfway through the test - and slept for 2 hours afterwards.  They said the medicine might make her sleepy!  We got the results a few days later, and everything was completely normal.  Answered prayers!

Sunday, September 11

Claire let Jill paint her face at Paige's birthday party today.  It was the first time for face paint - she loved showing it off.

We are coming off of the busiest weeks we will probably have for a few months, combined with a teething baby who is still figuring out how to sleep through the night, which means the blog is way, way behind. New Blog

You may have noticed a new link in my sidebar. I've realized lately that there are a lot of topics I'd like to blog about, but I want to keep our main blog focused on our family. I was inspired by one of my favorite bloggers, Laura C, to create a separate blog for things of interest me - TV, books, photography, crafty projects, and other random thoughts. Cute pictures of Claire will still be found here on our family blog. :)

So many updates...

...so little time! We didn't get internet access set up until late Monday afternoon, and then it went out Thursday morning. It was repaired on Friday morning, but with all of the unpacking, shopping for the house, taking care of Claire, etc. I haven't had time to go through pictures or sit down to write a post. We're headed out of town to Fredericksburg to celebrate Robert's grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary, but I will try to catch up when we return - and post new pictures of Claire!
